The State Of Mind

In the third unit of the Junior STEAM class of Light, Sound and Time we focused on Time. We learned about how gravity affects time. Second, we learned about how time and space are related. We about some of the different time telling device. We learned about different time telling devices, like pendulums. We learned how to calculate the longitude and latitude, arc length, and how to calculate the period of a pendulum. For our Action Project, we each had to design a time telling device.

My device is 6in tall x 12in long x 4in wide, with a volume of 288in^3. My clock uses "Light" by displaying the time , it also uses "Time" by displaying it and it uses "Sound" to alert the buyer to wake up or if an item is being given to them. This device tracks the buyer's mood by scanning the heart rate of the individual. It uses this heart rate and makes a list of times when the buyer is stresses or unhappy and tries to give them something that will make them happy. My clock can also be programmed to give out things when needed. For example, a granola bar could be given to the buyers as a snack to take to work. The device has the option to vibrate, if they are light sleepers. If you are a heavy sleeper then you would use the alarm clock which can go to very loud sounds.
My device also, has braille option as there is a metal plate that can be put on the screen, if the buyer is blind.
