The doctors appointment

In the third Unit of STEAM course of CURE,we learned about care to prevent for “me now” vs the “future me”. We learned about Angelina Jolie surgery to prevent breast and ovarian cancer. For this Action Project, we had to create a patient profile for a person we interviewed about their family and medical history too.We explored it to the point of making a very detailed treatment plan.I am very happy with my work. The most trouble I had was doing the interview, because it was hard trying not ask questions that would offended the person I was interviewing especially about family members that are deceased,it was easy to find a person to interview. I am proud of myself for finishing the project to the best of my ability.

My Everyday Life

"Sometimes, I look in the mirror and see dots all over" - AL

In Unit two of Cure we focused on Penicillin and how it works and was used in world war one and two. We figured out how to balance chemical compound. We talked about the affects of different medicines on our bodies. In addition we solved quadratic equations,we found the vertex and discriminate.I have struggled with eczema since I was in the fourth grade so I chose to find treatments for eczema. For this unit's action project we had to pick 4 treatments and make it look like a medication box. below you will see the images of the end result. I am most proud of the sign since it was my favorite part of the project. the hardest thing to do was the graph since i had to find the information.

Saving Lives

This is the first unit in the sophomore class called Cure called Emergency. This unit we talked about the different cells in the body like Haploid and Diploid, and the differences between them. We also talked about different surgeries and doctors, and how they have advanced through the years. This unit’s action project was to pick a surgery and make a presentation about that specific part of the body it affects using Prezi.
